THCA (tetrahydrocannabinolic acid) flower is raw hemp flower that contains high concentrations of THCA, the non-psychoactive precursor to THC. When heated (smoked or vaporized), THCA converts to THC through decarboxylation. THCA flower is federally legal under the 2018 Farm Bill as long as Delta-9 THC content remains below 0.3%.

Is THCA flower legal?

Yes. THCA flower is federally legal in the United States under the 2018 Farm Bill, which legalized hemp and hemp-derived cannabinoids with less than 0.3% Delta-9 THC by dry weight. Melt's THCA products comply with federal hemp regulations. State laws vary — check your local laws before purchasing.

What is the difference between THCA and THC?

THCA is the raw, acidic form of THC found in fresh hemp plants. In its raw form, THCA is non-psychoactive. When exposed to heat, THCA undergoes decarboxylation and converts to Delta-9 THC. THCA flower sold by Melt is legal hemp under federal law.

Where does Melt ship THCA products?

Melt ships to all US states where hemp-derived THCA products are legal. We are based in Los Angeles, California. Please check your state's hemp laws before ordering.

What types of hemp products does Melt sell?

Melt sells premium hemp-derived products including THCA flower, hemp prerolls, and hemp edibles. All products are derived from federally legal hemp and contain less than 0.3% Delta-9 THC.

How is THCA flower different from regular cannabis?

THCA flower is grown from hemp plants bred to contain high THCA levels while keeping Delta-9 THC below 0.3%, making it federally legal. Traditional cannabis flower typically exceeds 0.3% Delta-9 THC and is regulated differently under state cannabis programs. THCA flower looks, smells, and smokes similarly to traditional cannabis.
